Oh man I'm excited for you!!! Good luck with the fam leaving you alone. I just have the kids come in and dance for me when I get new stuff. Turns into a fun time for all of us.
Tell the kids you will embarrass them with baby pictures unless they disappear for an hour ...usually works .

Both of those are viable options, lol.

So bad its good. Nope just shockingly bad.
I am not a parent and I know as your kids grow up you bend the truth a little to spare there feelings If a play/production or some other endeavour is well let's say not the best....but honestly if my grown up child or anyone I knew was that bad i would be hitting my buzzer and spare them lol

Ladies and gents, today is a good day. The Emotiva Stealth DC-1 is in the building and hooked up. I was hoping for the sound of my XDA-2 in a much smaller package, so far it seems that what I got was a noticeable improvement. The stage on this thing is insane, feels wider, deeper, and taller. It's not anemic or overly warm and the detail is so good. I always thought the Emotiva XDA-2 was underrated and now I think the Emotiva DACs are underrated as a whole. With only about 90 minutes of head time, I'd say I like it better than the XDA-2, the Cayin iDAC-6 (1st gen, still curious to hear the latest one) and the Denafrips Ares. I'm so glad the SMSL SU-8 V2 was a hunk of junk, or I don't know if I'd have found this DAC, some things are just meant to be. Thanks SMSL, lol.
