@Danny. I don't know if you read the last few pages of whats been happening. But if you have some Meelec bi flange tips you must try them with the CKM500. It will surprise you.

I actually use the Meelec. single flange tips right now but ordered the bi-flange and the assortment pack yesterday.  The posts from the last couple of pages had me curious also.

The single flange and the bi-flange should sound pretty much the same given that you're getting a good seal with both. The big difference seems to come from the large bore, the fact that its single or double flange wont be the same difference.

I received the little brother CKM300's today.  Really impressed right now w/o any burn.  Can definitely tell it's the same family.  If the 500's get a 10 rating, I'd say the 300's would get a 9 from me.  It's just a notch below on everything the 500's have.  I actually like the treble more on the 300's because I detect no sibilance at all that I hear on the 500's.

Yup, they surprised me too, my CKM300 now have as many burn hours as the CKM500, I prefered the 500 the last time I listened, but now I just don't know.
The CKM300 is slightly warmer/darker, in your face whereas the CKM500 is slightly more detailed and balanced, A/Bing both, the CKM300 almost makes the CKM500 male vocals sound female. but Jazz on the CKM500 is just so sweet !!!
Using Jokers list as a scoring guide, I'll rank the CKM500 at 9.2 and the CKM300 at 9.0.

Incidentally reading the last few pages of these threads, I'm looking to order some of these Meelec tips, meanwhile I found that the tips from the Philips SHE3580 fits the CKM series perfectly and had much larger nozzles compared to stock AT, so I experimented.
You guys are right !   ...big improvement to the soundstage !
...at one stage while listening to the modified CKM300,  was startled by a loud "CLANK!" to my right followed by another to my left, as if large metallic plates fell on the floor. I was looking around anxiously until I realised it was part of the music !

you mean the ckm300 is better for female vocals?

No, the CKM300 makes male vocals sound "Manly" as in deeper voice tones.
Switching immediately over to the CKM500 and listening to the same track, male vocals are a slightly higher pitch, as if the male's voice hasn't crack (as in Michael Jackson like).

This is not apparent if you're just listening to one of these earphones but switching quickly between them, this is what strikes me about them.

Both do female vocals well, the CKM300 sounded slighly fuller with the deeper females voices.
The CKM500 beats the CKM300 on the higher registers thought, I hear more instruments on the CKM500 and they're clearer as well.

Is there any comparison between the ckm500s and the Thermaltake Isurus?

There is no comparison. I still own my isurus and I like to throw those on once in a while but lets be honest here. These CKM500 is on another league of sound quality over the isurus..If you want a serious upgrade on the isurus sounds. Try these.

Does anyone know an alternative website to get these from? Thanks in advance.

Here is a thought. See if you can purchase a Meelec earphone sent to you.  The Meelectronics M9 I am certain has the same tips 5 pairs. Can you purchase those there? They are hovering around $18 us. My thought is if you can pick one of those you will get your tips and an earphone that might ship cheaper to you. Might as well get a beater earphone if you can save some shipping and some money.

Unfortunately none of my close friends are in the US right now, nor I know any local residents that can do it for me. Thanks for the tip anyway :)

These are the available shipping rates for me, not very inviting for low price orders haha.

Thanks to both of you for the replys :)

The thing about this site is that it's like a community. Just ask a US based member to forward them over to you, and you paypal him/her the cash for shipping. I've personally done it several times. I'd volunteer, but I'm outside of the country right now.
