I bought the 240 secondhand also, lucky me the battery is still about 5hrs and I will charge my dap carefully to keep the condition. I have 1 more question: is there anyway to stream spotify on my phone to AK240 via AKconnect?
Sorry this is not an area I have explored. Someone here will eventually get back to you I'm sure. Enjoy your 240 and be safe.
Regards. Mick.

Hi, I have a question regarding mSD cards. Apologies if the subject has been covered before, I have done a few searches but can’t find much info, and certainly nothing specific.

I’m wondering what the best mSD card is for the AK240 please? I’ve seen people saying the SanDisk Extreme Pro gives the best sound quality but I also saw someone on a different forum say they experienced an upgrade in sound quality when getting a different card. Unfortunately I can’t remember what that card was and can’t find the post!
Any thoughts or suggestions please?

Just so you know I’ll be buying two and sending one off for treatment with a proprietary process in order to assess whether I can hear any difference. Sorry to be a bit cryptic but if I can reveal more when the test is complete I will. Thanks.

all AKs can handle up to 2tb per latest update.
But considering this is an old model, 512gb is a safe bet

Thank you very much.

This may be a dumb question but I’m based in the UK and have never bought from Japanese Amazon before. Is that the only place to get these cards from and is there anything to be aware of before buying? Thanks

You're welcome.
Based from a well known headfier friend, he purchased the sd card in Japan and cannot be sourced outside.
Even if you got an amazon.uk.co account, you might have to create a new amazon japan account as did I.
I purchased from amazon.jp twice already and I bit to the steep shipping costs (they use DHL). Even from last year with covid restrictions, they were extremely fast in delivery.
I'm based outside Jpn as well...

Thanks for the information. I’ll give it a try.

Do you think this is the same thing? I can’t find it in a higher capacity and it doesn’t have any ratings but certainly would make life easier! This would be plenty of capacity for me for the moment.

SD MicroSD Card 256GB Kioxia Exceria Plus https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B088RNYQZK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_7G35M813HXJ5TJ1KMRET

Yes, they're exactly the same. Only the cap. & the location where it was made IS the only difference.
The highlighted, for me is the most important. That's something to do with the read, write speed...

Thanks. I’ll try the Amazon.co.uk version and let you know how it works.
