Yeah, people have all kinds of dreams,
but here we are talking only about the American Dream.
I hope that you will enjoy the discussion.
********************************

We consider only production road cars: sports cars and (sports) sedans (Cadillac).

Compare with this.

Her we go
Quote:

Ford GT (limited productuion: 2003 - 2006) -
Top speed 205 mph and 550 horsepower.

and

Quote:

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful (638 horsepower) and
fastest production car ever from general Motors: top speed 205 mph.

Incidently, the top speeds of Ford GT and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 are exactly
the same: 205 mph.

************************************************** **********

Friendly Remark
The SSC Ultimate Aero TT is the fastest production car in the world with top speed 257mph.
It costs only $620,000.
(Is this information outdated?)
It is rumoured that the Vector WX8 top speed is 275 mph.
See Vector Motors.

************************************************** **********

How about the Ultimate Corvette, that is the Callaway Corvette?

Here is the CallawayCars site.
Note that the Callaway C16 Speedster Corvette costs $305,000.
Here is the Chevrolet here site.
Note that the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 price starts at $104,820.

The Corvette is meant to be the Ferrari at fraction of the price.

Also, the price of the limited edition Ford GT starts at about $150,000 and can reach $225,000.

Each of those cars (on the list) costs more than $100,000.

Ciao,

Adam

I pick the Ford GT, but only because I can't choose a Lamborghini Gallardo (green paint please).

I voted Tesla, because I have a soft spot for the environment. But after I had a Tesla, I would absolute have to get a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, I've wanted one for a long time.

I would take a Tesla.
Quite fast (0-100 = 4 seconds) electric sport car, which have a lot of benefits. Allowed to drive the bus lane, dedicated parking places, free fuel at work, no road tax, ... and its environmental friendly.

Just FYI, this is the Cadillac Cien (a concept car).

In my original post I've added two links links about those
two Corvettes (C16 and ZR1) mentioned in the poll and more stuff.

By the way, this poll/thread is a counterpart to the previous one,
which did not cover American Dream-Sports-Cars at all.

P.S.
I am terribly sorry that this thread/poll is only about American Dream Sports Cars.
Mea culpa. (Ha, ha, ha, ...)
