I've been eye-ing this thread for a bit, wanting to say Paul's Boutique or something by Aretha or James or Sly, but I think it's actually…

Miles Davis - In A Silent Way

I've figured out that its mellow veneer is deceptive…throughout the disc, the musicians are burnin' and groovin'. And it's spliced so that there's a real arc which somehow speaks to several facets of my music taste at once.

Of course, if something else comes up, I reserve the right to amend this selection.[IMG]

I agree with Tru Blu; In A Silent Way is an amazing album. One of my all time favorites.

The only album I think can compete with it is this:

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
mewithoutYou - Catch For Us The Foxes
    Radiohead - In Rainbows
    The Black Keys - Chulahoma

I could listen to these albums every day of the week.

I wouldn't mind owning almost every album in this thread and do own a good portion of them. It's nice to know there's so much great music out there to make our investments in our music and equipment well worth it. [IMG]
