Chocolate Genius-- "Black Music". Track: "My Mama". So sad, if it doesn't move you, check your pulse, you might be dead.

Beth Orton-- "Central Reservation". A number of tracks have made me well up. Something unreal about that voice...
American Music Club-- "San Francisco", "Mercury". A number of tracks.

Luka Bloom-- "Riverside". Track: "You couldn't have come at a better time".

Jeff Buckley--"Grace". Track: "Last Goodbye".

Mark Eitzel--"60 Watt Silver Lining". Any number of songs here.

Counting Crows-- "August and Everything After". Crucial album from a crucial period of my life.

Everything But the Girl-- "Amplified Heart", "Walking Wounded"

Damien Jurado-- "Ghost of David". A few tracks here get me.

Indigo Girls-- Especially the self-titled album and "History of Us".

Van Morrison-- Too many songs to mention.

Morrissey--"Bona Drag". Track: "Late Night Maudlin St."

The Smiths-- Just about anything off of "Hatful of Hollow" and select tracks from "Meat is Murder".

Joni Mitchell-- "Blue"

tho some other parts on this CD give me a hard time as well, The Great Escape is the most dramatical and moving piece of music ever. only play it when I'm in that mood, cause I don't want to spoil it. but it hit home every time.

1) Ben Folds - The Luckiest :

Last November during the Leonid meteor shower, I sang this to my girl-friend while both huddled in a warm-blanket alone on a cold and windy mountain-top watching the lights dart across the night sky. I get quite emotional anytime I think about it and just how incredibly right everything felt, and of course everytime I hear this song I think of that moment. Truth be told... I'm actually wiping tears away as I type.

2) Train - Drops of Jupiter :
I can't help but lose it thinking of my GF singing this... all tears of utmost joy

3) Billy Joel - Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel) & The Longest Time :

Once again, songs with personal meanings to my GF and myself.

4) Gordon Lightfoot - Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald & Harry Chapin - Cat in the Cradle :

Great folk songs that remind me of growing up with my Dad.

i've also dropped a few tears at the puccini operas i've seen.

i also listen to a lot of other genres besides classical, but classical music gets to my core. there are also a few film scores that can elicit a few tears, but that is another discussion.

Sarah McLachlan. A few tracks in `Fumbling...`

On a different note, for the first two weeks of owning Placebo's `Without You I'm Nothing` I used to get scared ****less while listening to it. I guess it resonated with what was going on in my life at the time pretty badly, and no, that's not a good thing when Placebo's stuff does that
