Just kidding, they''re great accept for the fact that they've exposed th terrible quality of my music files and sources. While I jive to many of my songs in MP3 format (high bitrate) I hear small static flickers, I just want to verify that these are the source files and not the headphones. These are great headphones for the price, definately better that the two other meagre headphones in my signature.

Try FLAC on the X5. Pretty clean sound if you can get by the huge file sizes.

@darkninja67, I wouldn't mind flac, thats a great feature on the X5, the only problem is that, I don't have the original CDs of the majority of my music, admittedly most of my music comes from bittorrent.

@seacow, I wish I could help ya but I lent my er-61s to a friend about 4 months ago, and they just came back broken. But from what I remember these 81Djs are miles ahead.
