Thanks all for sharing impressions. Based on your opinions, seems to me that despite its soundstage the AKG K7XX is not the most suited HP for classical

Would you say the sextett would be driven well by a Turtle Beach DSS Dolby Surround device, and Geek Out 450 (450 mw power)? If you like the AKG sound signature then maybe you should try a K240 sextett. Slighlty smaller soundstage but its more circular and and has better separation.

And what about the K7xx, would you say that one would be driven with good enough dynamics by the Geek Out 450 and the DSS?Probably not, it's 600ohms and uses only slightly less power than my K340's but more than my K7XX's

Based on specs it should be fine. Plenty of power and low output impedence. I've had problems with amps with high output impedence (say 9+ ohms).Question 2: Can O2 drive K7XX? If O2 can't drive K7XX which one do you prefer?
While the pads will fit they will change the sound and I'm not sure how the sound will change since I've never changed the pads on my K7XXHi everyone.
Can I use this earpads on old K7XX? They are without back plastic connection point.
I am allergic with stock pads. I have seen leather pads on massdrop but they're too expensive.

Agree with @johnnyb that the O2 can drive them volume wise but I not sure how they will sound with the O2 + changes in ear pads.Question 2: Can O2 drive K7XX? If O2 can't drive K7XX which one do you prefer?
It might be easier to find ear pads on ebay by doing a search for "AKG ear pads" and see what turns up, but I don't recall seeing any leather ones that fit the K7XX/K712 series but I didn't look much. Another thing you might want to try is to use the plastic mounting rings of the stock ear pads and try to install the ones you are looking at on the plastic rings.I am not sure about pad fitting due to they don't have plastic connection point.
