i have been listening to the above album and i wondered what others thought of it.  frankly i rather love the playfulness of it.  its taking poppy, happy but musically the equivalent of bubblegum and radically transforming them.  its an album id say thats really very interesting, but, i suspect many around the like of here will never hear it.   its not what would hit the top 40 much today and at the other end the fact thats its Kylie means that more, shall me say mature musically inclined listeners shall never hear it either.

so what do other make of it?  i surely cant be the only one who finds its inherent contradictions to be super fun and yet find it a truly worthy musical accomplishment.

I prefer it anyway when artists strip away the pomp, keep the arrangement simple with just the voice and instruments. This album like many modern pop records is mastered hot sadly. Kinda like Back to Black. Not going as far as to say "ruined" but it is hard to ignore the peaks once you notice them.

Am sure plenty have heard it but if you check the female vocals thread there is just so much established and emerging talent out there.

oh i agree, i hate when people say that all music now is crap and sounds the same.  it doesnt but its hard to find things.  actually its what i loved Pandora for but i dont use it much anymore since they began blocking it in the UK.  i just fell out of the habit of using it.
