my line-out cable arrived from a forum member the other day - and my Penguin amp arrived today (AD8397 op-amps) - and wow !

I'd never even considered the dock + amp route without reading through this forum

beginning to wonder if

hifi via headphones vs hifi via speakers (which I've spent lots of money on over the years !)

is a bit like sports bikes vs sports cars ! you seem to get much more for your money going down the headphone route

Yep, as am I. The forum is very informative, but only because of the experienced members that make it so. Most of us would not have 99% of the equipment we do if it wasn't for Head-Fi.
