for getting me back into hard rock. it's been a while since i spun my grunge albums, but last night i had the urge to make md's of nirvana's bleach and incesticide. all because i wanted to hear them on my new grado sr125. has a new headphone purchase made you rediscover old music in your collection?

Well... it maybe excessive but I listen to the latest I like and random old things when I get any upgrade whether phones, cables, sources, etc. It's great though when you say "WOW" to the stuff you havn't listen to in a while.

Definitely, i find myself listening to cds that i havent heard in ages on any particular headphone, usually the Beyer 770's or Grado Sr100's.

I've been drooling over the sr225's for months now...

Here I go again, first I'm talking about a new cd player, then it's new phones, I gotta cut up my credit card and start over!!!

I find myself discovering new things in old music all the time, I just bought the beatles rolltop boxset and I can't wait to give it a listen on my cd player with the mg head and hd600's!!!!

I know what you mean. The Queens of the stoneage cd sounded pretty bad on my speaker setup because of its kinda of dark smooth sound, but when i put them on my Grados suddenly i couldnt take them off. The queens of the stone age cd is VERY edgy and if it doesnt have that edge it sounds baaaad. So i highly reccomend The Queens of the stone age, and Audioslave if you really want to rock out with those phones. BTW i also would have said Nirvana but you got that covered.
