Just wanted to post and thank everyone for their input on my silly posts asking silly questions.

Mainly I wanted to thank everyone who I've talked to via PM's or from forum posts about my recent purchase, the Grado RS1!

These things are crazy good. To coincide with what I've heard many times before these are some damn fun cans to listen to. My HD650's are good but nothing like these. If your on the fence of buying an expensive pair of these you will not regret it as you will have these things for years and years until you cant hear anymore.

So again thanks everyone who's posted informative information about products and opinions because someone is reading them. Now on to my next buy, an amp! I'm looking at the Darkvoice 336i as it offers a good tool for learning about tubes and its ease of tube rolling. There hasn't been much said about it but everything I've came across said it was a must have especially for starters.

Lastly everyone must own the Eric Clapton's Live in The Seventies Box Set. I'm not a huge fan of Eric Clapton but this is some fun stuff. Anyways, enough rambling.

I understand what you say about Eric Clapton, this headphone make you want to listen even music you didn't listen before, particularly for Live like the Clapton you talk.

What's you source ? PC or Hi Fi ?

You're happy with Bowls ? not to hight ?

I got my RS-1s last Thursday even being familiar with the Grado sound, I was blown away. I'm glad you decided to open this package!

Side question....I'm also looking at tube amps. What made you choose the DV336i over the Lit Dot MK III?

This certainly is one of the most friendly, helpful communities I think I've seen in 15 years of using BBS, usenet, IRC, and internet! Head-fi just loves spending other people's money! Just throwing comedy with you!

Anyway, enjoy your RS-1s (as I enjoy mine). And speaking of tubes, I'm thinking Mad Ear+ Purist HD2 ...

I second the Mapletree Audio Design Ear+ Purist HD2. It sounds absolutely amazing with my RS-1 ...

Not advocating spending a down payment for a car, but.... A well designed tube amp will give you a lifetime of involvement. I am sure quality SS amps will sound great but you can't change their sound. You can tuberoll to get the sound you want with about any headphone.

Your RS-1s are my next dream purchase. They are truely a unique look and perform better than any other acoustic rock hp. I wish they were in stores that I could test them with my equipment. They would only make me want them sooner.
