Yesterday my hd590 arrived and I`m very happy with them.
They have a fantastic sound, I could recommend them to everyone. And the comfort is unbeatable.
I just noticed that the bass is not the strongest. Its possible that I
just have not customized my environment to them or do I just have to wait until the "burn-in" process is finished.
Please tell me which settings for this headphone are the best.
(Environment: Soundblaster Audigy, 2.1 speaker set Klipsch pro media with headphone plug).
And another question, where should I plug my headphones?
Into the plug at the box set (its comfortable because I have there a volume control) or direct at the out plug of the Audigy?

Thanx in advance

lol, still no one replied.

Glade you like your headphones. Personaly the bass was perfect for me. Although I use them on my home reciever. On my computer there good too. I use MusicMatch with the Lake Plug-in and sometime with the DSP plug-in. Play around with the bass, does wonders for me.

I don't have an actual sound card, my pc has intigrated audio. So can't really help ya with your question man.

simple question... simple answer.

plug them into your audigy. it may be a pain in the ass but the sound quality is soooo much better. the headphone jack on your multimedia speakers is a complete afterthought and is quite bad.

i noticed this with my labtec speakers. sound was very mushy and distant. i remembered that it didn't always sound like this so i tried it directly from the audigy and i was relieved. back to the good sound.

also... with the audigy whatever you do DO NOT set your speakers to Stereo Headphones. it will sound like you are in a cave with cotton over your ears. its absolutely terrible. leave it on stereo desktop speakers.

I use QCD player once in a while. Nice skins. But I like the plug ins for MusicMatch better. The Lake PLS plug in really kicks. It uses the Dolby Headphone technology found in WinDVD and some other DVD software. Sound really nice.

The PLS stands for Personal Listening Space. It does feel like your in a room though.

When you put on a pair of headphones you feel like your in a room. If gives you three room feelings. DH1, DH2, and DH3.

DH1 gives the feel like your in a Reference room.

*Image sitting in a bedroom on a Lazyboy chair with the speakers 8 feet in front of you. The room your in is the size of a normal child's bed room. The air is moist.

DH2 gives the feel like your in a "Livelier" room and...

*Image your in the living room, the air is mildly moist, your in a room with 5 other people, Sitting in two rows of three. The speakers are about 13 feet away from you. The room is slightly colder. Its more of a home theater feel to it.

DH3 gives the feel like your in a very large room.

*image that your in a church or movie theater... the website states it gives you a movie theater feel, but really it's like a small church.lol.

I like DH1 the best, its the warmest and the sound seems more closer and deeper.

It's only good with headphones. If you try it and are wishing you could aford to buy it... well PM me, and I'll share a secret with you. I have a "magical coupon" that saved me a bundle.

I also like the DFX plug in for MusicMatch and Winamp. I got a coupon for that too

@ClearYourMind

I thought Winamp is the best player, I could not find any comparison articles winamp vs musicmatch.
What a pitty that the plugin from lake is not available for winamp.
I`ll try DFX for winamp.
Thanx for the hints :-)

No, stereo speakers screws up the imaging of surround information.

What you need to do is change your Windows sound setting to headphone while the creative setting is left on stereo speakers. This fixes it up.

the audio quality is far better than Winamp in any configuration.

i haven't used musicmatch in like 3 years so i haven't listened to this Lake plugin. i might give it a try but the thought of MM sitting on my harddrive gives me chills.

I used to use winamp, and didn't like all the other programs...then about two weeks ago I found out about qcd and haven't used winamp since. Its WAY better (I use the mmd3 orange skin, which i modified to include a search...if you want the skin, tell me)

Not only does it sound better than winamp (or actually worse, I had to redownload some mp3s because qcd actually was good enough to show the faults in a couple of songs which with winamp just had some undefinable bad quality about them)

download it now!
