is there any point in buying a Campfire Cascade if you already have the Fostex TH900? I keep reading the bass is even better on the Cascade, is this true and the TH900 just has the better soundstage?

No, the bass on the Cascade is not better; it's just more pronounced, with a heavier mid-bass section. Quality-wise, the Fostex has better articulation, layering and texture in its lows. The sub-bass rumble on the TH900 Mk2 is also insanely impressive. If you value your bass, the TH900 Mk2 is one of the best in the business.

I for one was not impressed by the Cascades but only have heard them a couple of times and it has been awhile the only thing I remember is they did not impress me much. I know this isn’t real helpful but have heard a lot of headphone’s and could have been a bad day or setup but didn’t think “ I can’t wait to hear those again”.
