Received the TF10s for Christmas and have really been enjoying them. However, my OCD self noticed that I am unable to get a flush connection on my left earbud with the cable. The cable will plug in, but it leaves a somewhat small gap between the rubber molding on the bud and the stock UE cable connection. I've noticed people jamming Custom UE Cables into the TF10s and the same type of gap exists, but it was my understanding that this was caused by the much larger size of the custom cable.

Is this normal? Does it impair function?

Thanks in advance!

Glad you are enjoying your new TF10. Had same moments last year.
I say the pins should be able to go all the way in but at the first time of use it might be troublesome, so this is rather normal, don't worry.

No, I haven't tried the flip mod, I've been able to get a good fit without it (thankfully).

I tested the other side of the cable, now that you asked, and the left bud still won't take the cable all the way. Therefore, it seems to be the left side cable input on the bud. The gap is pretty small and it isn't very noticeable, but I was just wondering if it was "normal."

Thanks for the responses.

EDIT---

I've attached two files from a simple google search that seems to show the type of separation that I'm talking about and I take it from this search that the slight separation between the cable and the monitor is normal or maybe occur normally. I just find it funny that neither the right or left plugs go in all the way into the left monitor - it always has the slight separation shown in the attachments (and incidentally - it is the left monitor here as well.)
