Revolutionary must-listen episode 1,075 of Abstract Science weekly electronic music show, beginning with a DJ set inspired by Daphne Oram, which I think refers to artists she likes.

Daphne Oram was a pioneer of electronic music, active in music from the 1940's until the 1990's, and departed us in 2003. She was the founder of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop which was a multi-decade sound effects unit of the BBC that became a major driving force of the early development of electronic music.
Here was her playing in a home studio in the 60's after receiving a grant for the development of the Oramics machine she invented, which was a precursor to th Buchla; a modular synthesizer that predated the traditional keyboard synthesizer and long before the "soft-synth".
