Technics Premium Stereo Earphones EAH-TZ700

Well I just got in a Cayin N7, and with one brief listen of the TZ700 on that DAP, I went and quickly unlisted my set which was for sale. The bass is so much better controlled, and the scale of sound jumped way up. The full and rich vocals on the N7 do wonders for the slightly recessed presentation on the TZ700. The little gem really scales with better quality sources, that's for sure.

Yes they are fantastic together, as are any single DD with the N7 - wonderful synergy.

Anyone tried running these with the new Cayin RU7?

Yes, I have spent many hours with this combination and, not wishing to sound like a fanboy, I can say truthfully that I could live with this combination for evermore ❤️

My TZ700 arrived on Monday, loving them so far - absolutely exceeded expectations and have an excellent chance of becoming my favourite single DD. Amazed these haven't had more attention, they seem to have flown under the radar.

@Scuba Devils how do they compare vs the Turii Ti? Planning to get one of these. :)

TZ700 less mid centric and a lot more bass versus Turii Ti - you’ll really notice the huge sub bass in comparison. The stage isn’t as vast but still impressive and with excellent clarity… not as emotionally captivating as Turii Ti due to those magic mids in Turii and TZ700 sounds somewhat more neutral with bass boost. Very different and highly complementary!

Well I can’t control myself so I went a bought one already lol. One thing I’ve noticed on the TZ700 is it’s more forward than the Turii Ti but still has excellent imaging. And the bass of the TZ700 is very deep with still lots of detail. The TZ700 is one heck of a gem that flew under almost everyone’s radar.

Ha congrats, a lack of control in this hobby is a fairly common trait! Good to hear you are enjoying, still love mine about a year later. I see you have Perpetua which is one I’m still keen to try - how do you find it versus Turii Ti?

Turii Ti is more midcentric and has better low end overall. The Dita Perpetua has more air, better highs, and a little bit wider stage. But for overall listening, I’ll pick the Turii Ti everytime. The Dita is more like a hearing cleanser if you will.

I'd like to see a full written sound review of these by someone on head-fi. I'm very interested. Using my ER2XR for now which are quite good for the price with zero sound leakage, which is as important to me as the sound. They have a neutral sound with a tad forward high mids(even when inserted deep enough, using foam tips). The bass is present and clear but I can't really feel the bass impact, which annoys me. It exactly feels like the drivers aren't capable of producing high bass impact, but technically they have a very good, tight bass response. I just personally need more but without getting muddy. So, I'm considering a big step up to TZ700. How's the sound leakage of them? I saw someone's comment using Xelento ear tips. Do these get better isolation than stock silicone ear tips? Or similar? Maybe Xelentos are also more comfortable?

I'm not able to write a review abotut them, not enough specialist neither I listen to lot of iems to make some focused comparison, but to my ears these iems are marvellous, not only are extremely comfortable but they are so balanced, and yes, if you can't feel the bass slam with the ety, with these you surely will, but still so controlled.
Technical and musical, I use them with very fast and complex metal music, but don't struggle at all.
These are my 2c for tz700, using right now.

These are probably the best performing IEMs I have ever owned. Flawless tonality and overall balance. A masterpiece of audio engineering!

I agree with the other positive notes. My journey started when I wanted something a bit fuller sounding than what my IE600s provide with certain genres, but I also did not want a big bulky IEM. I then tried these along with the IE900s and decided to get the TZs and am still quite happy I went that route. I would say if you decide to get the TZ-700s, be patient with tips. It took me a bit of trial and error to find which I like best for seal/sound, but couldn't be happier.
