Hello everybody, i've just bought a brand new sony walkman S639. I've been very surprised for its excellent audio quality but not for its output power.... now, as wanting to upgrade my earphones, i was wondering that maybe a 32 ohm impedence model (akg k315 or K317) would be too hard to drive for its amplifier .... with the 16 ohm earphones i have (akg k314) i use to listen music with a volume level not lower than 24 and very often near maximum (30), so for me my sony is not as powerful as i wanted it to be, but it's ok... The problem is that i think that with 32 ohm earphone the sound would be too much quieter.... and unaccettable for me.... what do you think about this?
thanks

Not sure if you have volume limiting on. 16 ohms should not be hard to drive at all. I have no problem powering my PFE's which are generally considered hard to drive as far as IEMS go. I'm using a Sony A818 and there's an option under common settings for the volume limiter. Not sure if yours is on or not but you might want to take a look and see if that could have something to do with it.
