Tascam US-224 as a sounds card?

Hello,

I was curious, has anyone used the Tascam US-224 as a sound card?

The Tascam US-122 (USB 1.1) sounds wonderful as a 24b/48khz music player, but it has latency limitations that can make DVD playback difficult. Gaming is simply not possible on such a device.

I have the ability to by one for $10 and will be using this burley for music, nothing else. Would a Tascam 144 be a better choice?
