TBH 711 couplers are not accurate over 10k.
yeah, thats due to the standard it is following.

Although on the Oxygen, I do hear a peak around the 12-14k area, confirmed with PEQ. Which does help with its airy tonality and micro-details, but it is a factor that makes it a bit fatiguing for me.

Thanks for the info. I really wish that peak didn't climb so high, otherwise the Oxygen would have smooth and resolving treble due to the consistent decline in amplitude of each peak.

I'm debating pulling the trigger on this as I also have the Hana 2021; which I absolutely love. Do you think it's worth it or is the Hana too similar?

Sorry I haven't heard the Hana 2021, but you might wanna ask the others, hope they can chime in with their input.

I don't have the O2, only the 2021 Hana. So, take my comments with a bag of salt. Others have commented to the signficant sonic similarities between the Hana 2021 and O2. The aesthetic of the O2 is fantastic.

Not sure what that does but I’ll give you a like for it

Hmm perhaps folks who don't have a source that uses a 3.5 mm terminal may find this useful (instead of adding some adapter centipedes into the chain). Though I don't think there is an amp or something powerful inside this connector, but lately quite a few sources are removing the 3.5 mm jack.

It’s definitely not something you see every day, let alone from a $20 iem. I guess I couldn’t wrap my head around a usb feeding into a headphone instead of a source. Wouldn’t it have to have a dac inside?

Yeah it probably has a DAC (not sure if there is an amp component), but considering the low cost overall, I doubt this DAC has that great sonic fidelity.
