I think ive settled with the o2 i have. Finally i found a good synergy with foam tips. No issues now but very positive end game worthy at $200. Looking forward for Prism!
"ive settled with the o2 i have", that quote was coming from the issue i had previously. The driver flex on the right set. I have settled it and I can say it is the best $200 so far from experience beating a lot of hybrids at that price range.
edit: tbh, i think i preferred o2 over m9 from memory. Vocal placement of o2 to me is much better than M9. I finally found a foam tips to complement the o2 tuning so the vocal sounds so much balanced than what it has from the stock tips. Since M9 was with me over a year and o2 is with me over a month, I have done a lot of source and tip rolling, and with my honest view, o2 has the upperhand.
So it seems the Tanchjim Prism is releasing at 3680 yuan, which is roughly $568 USD. Thank you kidneys for your service all these years. Good thing there's 2 kidneys in case one needs to be sold.

They shared more details and a graph on Weibo as well:
It looks cool at the first look, but using WPD to grab the graph and when placing it into a more conventional scaling it seems a very spicy tuning and the most upper-mid forward among Tanchjim's lineup.
(both graphs normalized at 500Hz and provided by Tanchjim and Moondrop using their B&K 4128 rig so it seems to be an okay comparison.)

Thanks for the graphs. The 3 kHz mountain looks fierce for sure, might be shouty, especially like another Moondrop SSR/SSP kind of peak. But of course graphs don't tell the full story, and perhaps some filters/foam can damp this area, or playing at softer volumes (Fletcher Munson curve).
True, it is questioning dBs over there. The shape is fine but the dBs gain is quite hmmmm... Hoping that there's discrepancy with the rig and the dB scale.
edit: i was planning to blind buy this but stopped now because of this. Will wait for confirmation.

Is it an Oxygen on a budget? As best I can tell, yes. Measures the same as the Oxygen I heard, and sounds the same... based on memory. About two months in between unfortunately.
vs. OG Hana, the New Hana is a somewhat warmer tune and notably more bass emphasis.
Is that better or worse? Up to personal take, you probably know who you are. (I personally prefer the OG Hana's more open midrange sound.)
Imaging performance is still stellar.
A lot of Starfield owners out there ask me about a good "upgrade," and while I usually avoid the "upgrade talk" since a lot of audio is tradeoffs, I do think the New Hana is a good answer to that question. New Hana is similar tuning, with similar bass presence, but IMO much stronger technical performance. Which is more than I could say for the KXXX/KXXS.
