Great impressions, added them to post #3.
What's your chain?

Thanks...

I use a Asus Tinkerboard with Volumio. Ifi usb ipurifier2. SMSL M8A DAC. And at the moment a Topping NX4 amp.
Which wil be replaced by an Ifi Ican SE.

PS. Bass knob in the middle will fit my needs atm. With no bass amplification on the Topping.

Hi guys, I have been using CAL! (no amp or anything) since 2010 after recommendations from lovely people here. The quality for me was a huge boost over what I was used to but I've got tired of having to replace them every 1-2 years due to one of the ears going dead. Would you consider these an upgrade over them for general everyday use (gaming, watching series, music)? If so I'm buying a pair today for around £50.

Before you do, you should consider getting proper equipment, Pro 82 is wasted otherwise. May even sound properly bad.
I recommend SMSL Idea + O2 or FIIO E06 + ELE EL-D01
Comparison of DACs/Amps
Oh damn, I've already bought it hah. My budget doesn't really fit for amps, reckon I should cancel the order then just? Saying that, as long as it doesn't sound worse than CAL! unamped I don't mind.

CAL! is a mediocre headphone, but it's very unoffensive-sounding.
Pro 82 is incredibly transparent, and with bad equipment may make you sorry you bought it.

My advice - keep Pro 82, and buy EL-D01 (9$ on Ebay) and a used FIIO E06 (25-60$ on Ebay):

https://www.ebay.com/itm/FIIO-FUJIYAMA-E06-PORTABLE-HEADPHONE-AMPLIFIER/222801208845
https://www.ebay.com/itm/FiiO-E6-Portable-Audio-Headphone-Amplifier-/132466954213
https://www.ebay.com/itm/FiiO-E6-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier-/202173820721
If you are lucky, you can get both of them for under 40$ total.
Despite the small price, they will make a HUGE difference, pure audio nirvana.

Try it without an amp before spending more money. You might find it sounds just fine to your ears.

Thanks very much guys, I'll keep them and if I don't like the sound after a while then see about investing in some equipment as suggested. Unfortunately my CAL!'s died on me at the worst possible time, (SSD failing) otherwise I'd have happily gone all in. I've bookmarked these posts so I can come back to it for reference later. Thanks again, really appreciate the help with this!

Guys, do you hear any hiss in the following track? (1:20-1:40)

Checked Google play/Spotify and can hear hisses there too, is it a track issue or a headphones issue?
I use only a laptop/iphone as a source, no external amps/dacs.
P.S. This OST is awesome :L3000:

Man, just got my O2 and iDEA, they seriously have mad synergy with the Pro 82! Now I have doubts why did I even bought my M1060 and HD660S in the first place XD.

Told ya!
It is every Pro 82 owner's civic duty to try it either with O2+Idea or E6+EL-D01, no matter how expensive their chain is (yes, @ahmadfaizadnan , I'm looking at you  )

I still hear them as slightly slow. On Buena vista social clubs chan chan or veinte anos the maracas in the background (I think it is maracas that sizzling rattle instrument) lacks definition.

Same is true for bass, it lacks impact, tightness, and texture. It is OK on the first and second position, but even the second position gives everything a little weight. The third position is downright flabby-pudding bass.

I would appreciate some grain :D

Pro 82 missing bass tightness? That's 100% on your chain (S8?).
See one post above yours.
