How do I go about buying a replacement for the stock earpad? Mine is starting to crack pretty badly and I want to replace them, but I can't seem to find the official stores in AliExpress selling them. If that's impossible, could anyone recommend a replacement earpad that would be the closest to the stock ones?

These don't look like the stock earpads - I don't think Takstar sells them. Plus, they are really hard to install.https://www.ebay.com/itm/174530007663 (no affiliation)
If not too late, you can start cleaning them properly: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/tak...scussion-thread.849965/page-262#post-16243542

No, they are not like stock pads. And no, they aren't hard to install. To be fair - I'm quite experienced in this subject
You can try brainwavz pleather oval pads.

Those may do the trick right out of the box

Can confirm these do work. I find my 751 pads more comfortable on my gm200 than the stock ones. No, they are not like stock pads. And no, they aren't hard to install. To be fair - I'm quite experienced in this subject

I guess they are with adapter rings so you can just take out old ones and snap new ones perfectly fitted

There is nothing complicated it this
You need one of these. I has have chosen this pick on the left. Important thing is to take your time and be gentle. I had have open those headphones multiple times and didn't break anything.
Find a spot to slide pick between pad and bezel and give a gentle twist. If it goes hard, try in other end. It will let go.
Then just go ahead and finish your job
Nice and easy. To close it back just aline holes and give little squish on locks. As you see there are six of them. Double check and you are ready to go. Easy.

Now I testing brainwavez pads with two oval foam pads (two for each pad).
They are big I must admit
And thick

How do those pads change the sound signature with respect to stock ones?
Thanks!
Thanks!
It's probably too late for my earpads for cleaning to have an effect. It's been almost 2 years.

hard to say . By default, I use one oval foam on each pad. I disassembly pad and put it behind stock one so foam is always in one place. Soundstage gets narrowed but it creates feeling like being inside a plush dome. Like sitting in veluor chair surrounded by velour curtains. In other words - sound is very soft . And this is with unbalanced cable and btr3k.
With balanced cable and brainwavz is different. Balanced cable I have feeling like sound behaves chaotic, unpredicteble. Bass is reduced but sound feels wider so to fix that I switched bass ports to 1. HM5 pads are thicker. There is more space inside them so it creates hollow effect. I reduced it by adding another foam pad. Sound is soft and deeper. I'm aware that I cut off micro details this way.
I don't tell which I like better. I can tell it is like scratching yourself from different angles to find perfect spot but none of them is perfect one. It feels nice but not perfect.
I highlight fact that I use v1 version (bought in local store, legit distribution)
In short - with balanced cable sound is lighter, wider. With unbalanced - sound has more "meat"
With brainwavz pads and foams - sound got some soundstage
