Takstar HF 580 Planar Headphones

Hi there! Some guy in my area selling HF580 for ~70$, like new with box.But 77 pages just kill my patient, so just want to ask should I take it? is it a good headphone ? TY
I use my HF 580 every day (and I own 20 headphones), it can hold it's own against $200 headphones, so $70 is a really good price (I use Sendyaudio AVIA ear pads with mine).

Me too but I don't own that many. What I personally like is that the bass is clean, flat and not boosted. Its suits every music but it lacks a bit cleaness on the treble and higher midrange. But I think it just the planar magnetic technology that has it's own flaws.

The Aiva pads should do the trick. No experiments with extra padding/damping. That will only diminish the dynamics of the phones. As always YMMV.

If I remember correctly aiva pads worked very nicely with the unmodified HF580. I need to try it again and make sure. But did not work with my modded HF580.

My Sendyaudio AVIA ear pads sometimes slip of my HF 580, is there any recommended way to keep the pads from slipping off, something besides using tape.

A quality velcro
I recently installed the Aiva pads on my Takstar HF 580 and that's a match made in heaven. No mods necessary IMHO. Total bliss with the E1DA 9038D DAC/amp dongle. Maximum sound for minimum investment. This is a keeper, totally satisfied. I won't look any further for improvements.

The Aiva pads are a bit loose on the Takstar but they stay put, no fixing necessary for me. Just check the position before you put on the cans. YMMV

Yup. They work best for unmodified cans.

Any news on after market ear cushions? I just ordered a second set HF580 and want to try good sheepskin pads that fit these Takstars well. Thanks a lot for any comments.
I use 105mm. You have to tape it to the cups. 12mm tape is perfect.

Do you have a link to the Ali seller? Or where did they come from? Can you post some photos of your pads on the cans? Are they round or oval like the original pads? Thanks.
