Takstar HF 580 Planar Headphones

Just got my Monoprice sheepskin pads and taped them to my Takstar without the plastic rings. Great feeling and sound. But I killed one of the tiny screws, still the set works great.

Funny how the thick sheepskin pads seem to clear up the treble. Full bass is still there. I'm convinced. Have to compare both cans more I guess as I like the iNeed Kit ones a lot, too.

What's the difference with the iNeedKit vs. Aiva on the midrange and treble?

Oh, and does the former fit perfectly or I need to tape it? TIA
The iNeedKit fit perfectly. Takes a little time to fit them, though. The plastic stretches a long way. My two sets of Takstars have the iNeedKit and Monoprice sheep skins now. Can't decide which I prefer. Have to listen more. But both have high listening bliss factors.

Hello dear forum. On my hf580 I observe a very strange thing. The sound of footsteps, voices, as if in a barrel, the sound seems to be repelled from the walls. I don't even know how to explain it. Maybe this is a feature of headphones of this type? The problem is definitely in the headphones because I listened on different devices. I asked my friend to listen on his hf580 and he also confirmed that the sound of footsteps, especially in games, is very strange. I changed the ear pads (ineedkit), it didn't help.
Another question is, is it possible to make a connector in headphones to connect balanced cables?

Let me guess, it sounds like you are in the middle of this barrel?
The first radial mode/resonance of a circular duct (coinciding with the sound source being in the middle) is described by f=3.84/pi*c/d.
Where f is the frequency, c is the speed of sound and d is the diameter of the duct/barrel.
If a standard barrel has a diameter of 0.5m, this corresponds to f=836Hz. At this frequency the hf580 happends to have a massive resonanse (I still believe due to structual vibrations) and therefore do they sound like that.

Sound is echoing. Need inside damper to reduce that.

A felt and foam work well. Remove four screws at front and carefully remove the driver and add some dampening material to the inside. Yes, you can use a 3.5mm to balanced adapter.

Is it possible to use adapters from stereo to balance? Link
In any form or only along the walls of the bowl? Maybe there are videos or photos of how others did it in this thread?
Look at this thread :) I did it. But I also did a bit too much back dampening you may choke the driver. Not worth the time in my opinion to go too crazy. Just an easy damper back is enough.

EU countries its gonna be higher because of the vat. I checked my price and it was 213€. Not sure why it's so high it should still be lower than 200 with the vat.
