I was lent HD-200 headphones.. and last night when I noticed the left side wasn't working.. no crackling - no sound..
Since they are not mine and me very poor.. I was wondering if anyone would have any idea what could be wrong - so I could fix it.
I'm thinking of opening the cap to see if a cable's come off or something, so If anyone knows how to open them without causing any damage.. Please, let me know.

I've got no idea what's happend. They could have fallen off my computer.. that's a 40 cm drop.. or a glitch form that detachable cable. What's the point of that anyway?!

I've tried it with a different source as well as with a different cable. Just realised there could be a glitch in that little adapter .. cause the cable is a 3.5mm jack and the input to the headphones something even smaller!! But I don't think I can test the adapter anywhere. Nor is there any crackling in the left cap.. so it makes me wonder..

Well the hd280 pro - you pull off the pads and see two screws which you unscrew and then the phones come apart (wires still attached so be careful).

I assume the 200 might be similar?

Nice! I thought the pads would rip and I'd be siting witha lapp full of feathers or something... Couldn't see any screws underneath, but I guess the rest might com eapart in a similar fashion!! (I'll be carefull!)

Thank you for that tip
