Takatsuki Electric TA-300B

Nice idea. Isn't it too specific? Drives equally well LCD-X or Abyss cans? At this price level I'm looking at the Viva Egoista carrying 845 tubes which is very universal.

it is best with high impedance cans from 300 to 600 ohms. and best with hd 800 and beyer t1. the amp crank more than 1 watts into 300 ohms and 600 ohms. it is no good with planars and no good with cans like denon d7000 and fostex th900. buth with hd 800 it is sublime.

This is what you use a nice pair of TA-300Bs in.

Also, Woo Audio WA-5. I did extensive research on the Manley pre-amp because it is so darn good-looking but many people told me that it has a high noise floor with headphones (and I would have had to fly to SoCal to demo it... some day I will give it a spin though).

I have the Manley Neo Classic 300B pre/headphone amp; mine is absolutely silent. I'm very sensitive to noise/hiss, especially with higher efficiency headphones, and the Manley is the only amp besides the DNA Stratus that I've used that was silent in this regard.

I love mine, both for headphone listening and as a pre in my main speaker system.

Best,

Randy

Is this the current TA-300B with the black ceramic base?
Are there some silver near the bottom like the original version?
Thanks

Fririce0003 and I are using the Woo 234 mono blocks with them, have also compared them tot he WE274B and the WE300B's, the Takatsuki IMHO are the best current production valve available by a considerable margin and even best the legendary WE's in some area's.
