Of course! Though right now I'm just travelling with JDS element 2 for the small form factor (so far no damage), so I don't know how useful are my thoughts on that comparison

Hello! Soon to be T+A combo owner here...has anyone travelled with HA200 or any large amp/dac (like Bartok) on airplane before? My job requires me to relocate a few times a year around the world and I am really worried about destroying them. AFAIK HA200 can fit inside a carry-on with some padding, but I would appreciate some advice on perhaps a better way to bring them around.

Honestly I'm less worried about the cans as they are much smaller, and can take more beating. It's the HA200 I'm worried about...I don't know how much shaking, etc. they can take.

I worked in commercial photography for years and we used a variety of hard sided foam lined travel cases from pelican and others for some very fragile and expensive camera systems. No damage ever as carry on or checked luggage in the US and some trips out of the country!
I'm sure the HA200 would easily fit in a number of these cases.

It's the HA200 I'm worried about...I don't know how much shaking, etc. they can take.

It survived international shipping by post or courier services where it saw much more shaking and throwing than you would ever do to your cabin bag. Nothing to worry about IMO.

I second the suggestion of using a Pelican case.
I know several people of in the industry and most of them use Pelican cases to ship their equipment to the shows.

Will not put any decision before I listen LCD-5 myself haha (I think I would be able to test them at November). Never thought about buying high end Audeze till now, thanks to LCD-5's 420 gram weight.

on an exchange rate basis the 4800 pounds is almost exactly the retail price in the USA ...by the way I highly doubt the new lcd-5 will be as good as the sol p but we shall see
