I recently purchased Kenwood's HD30GB9. I always thought I was quite decent at intuiting my way through software, but I may have met my match. Everything seems to be working fine, but I am having a surprisingly difficult time getting music onto my player. Here are the facts:
- My computer recognizes the device. After connecting it via USB, I'm prompted with the Auto Play ("Would you like to run install, open folders & view files, etc") pop up.
- I'm running it in storage mode.
- I can navigate the device, create folders, and drag and drop MP3 files, but they don’t seem to be playable (or viewable) on the device.
- I installed the Kenwood program, but it doesn't recognize the device. On the top center of the screen, it says "No device has been detected. Press F5 to refresh the Kenwood Media Application." The "PD" tab on the left of the screen is "greyed out" as well – I imagine this is relevant.
I am running Vista, but from what I've read here, others have used this player with Vista successfully.
So, any tips?
(Thanks in advance!)
