Symphonium Titan - Impressions and reviews

Thanks for asking, cos I dug up the Xenns UP and it still holds up (pun intended).
Mids are more forward, highs being supplied by 2 ESTs are airy and satisfying. Easier to drive.
The Titan bass is more pronounced. Sub-bass is textured.
Yes Xenns UP is extremely good but definitely needs. Better cable I’m using with a cable that I got from Ali express. Very natural U shaped with bass boosted.

Too unrefined sonically and physically for my taste. I am big fan of local brands, but Fatfreq does not make the cut.
I suppose it's all subjective, but for me that's how I'd describe the Titan. Bass is too bloated, mids sounded recessed, not enough treble. Weird female vocal timbre.

I would take the Maestro Mini over Titan all day every day.

I had Maestro Mini for a long time and it is nowhere near the Bass quality and Technical supremacy of Titan IMHO

Titan's bass is good, but it is simply too overpowering. There is not enough upper mids for my library. I also don't find that it has enough treble energy/extension for me.

Comparing to Fatfreq GM and SE?
Titan bass slams harder than GM. Would say that on bass alone it competes with GM. It's just that GM is more of an all-rounder kind of bass. I do prefer GM's mids and treble. But then again, different price points.

This definitely perk my interest. Maybe I'll go give it a try soon hmm. Anyone here know if this has sibilance? Im very sensitive to it.
Would like to know your thoughts especially in comparison to the Maestro SE, since you've recently did an awesome, detailed review of the Maestro SE...

I'll be joining the club shortly. Just placed my order on Headphones.com and was told that they would be shipping out either this afternoon or early tomorrow. Looking forward to see how they compare to my U4S!
Really interested in your comparison with your U4S. Shopping around for my first kilobuck IEM, and would appreciate your thoughts.

Just a quick comparison, but I would say they're on equal footing but shine in different areas. The Titan has a stronger sub-bass presence with a more rounded treble. The U4s is more of an all-rounder with excellent mid-bass and an incredible soundstage depending on the module you use. Both scale very well with gear, especially desktop rigs.

For now, I plan on sticking with the Titan and selling my U4s because I enjoy the extra bass energy on the Titan coupled with the fact that it still has impressive treble that remains fatigue-free over long listening sessions. I don't think you could go wrong with either, though, as they're both excellent iems! The only other comment I can make is that the U4s will be better for anyone with smaller ears as the shell is more compact.

I hear the Crimson and Titan similarly to how they were graphed by BGGAR. The main differences are pretty much what @domq422 described.

The Titan's DD bass is just visceral. There have been times when listening to bass-heavy tracks where I can feel the sub bass in my feet as if there was a subwoofer nearby. I know it's all in my head, but it's still a crazy sensation that I've never felt with the Crimson. What's impressive is that it does this while still sounding clean and smooth.

The Crimson is the more balanced set though. It still has good quality bass, but there's less in comparison. What's impressive here is that its BA bass sounds better than a lot of single DD and hybrid sets that I've listened to. Mids and vocals are similar to the Crimson - they're both clean and smooth, neither are recessed or in your face.

Treble extension is really great on both sets, but the Crimson is a step up. Hi-hat and cymbal crashes sound airy and they decay nicely. The Titan is no slouch either, but the Crimson just does it a bit better. For soundstage and imaging, I really can't tell the difference between the two. They both have a pretty wide open soundstage where you can hear the music in layers and what some people would describe as "holographic."

I love them both, but if you're like me and like your bass to be boosted on bass-heavy tracks then you might like the Titan more.
Hey, just saw in your signature that you've got a Violectric V222. I have one too and I'm super keen on getting the Titan, which will be driven by the V222. How is this pairing and is there any issues you encountered?

No issues at all. When I'm at my desk, I use the V222 with a couple full-sized headphones and a bunch of IEMs so I have the pregain set to -16dB to accommodate the range of earphones. With the power-hungry Titan, the V222 volume knob is a step below the 12:00 position. Most other IEMs are loud enough at 10:00 position or lower.

Out of all my sources, the Titan pairs up the best with the V222.

So which other kilobuck IEMs are you cross-shopping with the Titan?

Hey thanks for the detailed feedback!
That's great news!

I currently have my pregain set to -18dB, so I can have the volume knob at 12 O'Clock for my highest listening volume with my Sony MDR-Z1R. It seems like the Titan will be making better use of my amp than my primary full-sized headphone 😁.

I had the Scarlet, Singularity, U4s, U6t and Monarch MK3 in the toss up, but I pretty much have settled on the Titan. After doing some research I think the Titan will offer, for me - personally, the best sub-bass quantity and sound quality in this price bracket.
