Hi Head-Fi,
I bought the iSine 10 about 6 months ago and really like the sound of them, but have been struggling to fall in love with them for two reasons:
- Comfort: The over-the-ear clips bend my ears and the in-ear hooks often pop out (especially with the weight and hardness of the cipher cable). I find it hard to use them for more than 5-10 minutes without having to re-adjust somehow, which makes the whole experience less enjoyable
- Isolation: I didn't think I was going to mind the fact that they're not isolating, but I find that unless I'm sitting in my quiet living room, the background noise at the office or while traveling tends to drown out all the amazing detail that the iSine has to offer.
Basically the iSine 10 feels like an amazing headphone that's just not terribly practical.
I'm looking for something that will give at least as good sound (better would of course be nice if I'm spending more money), and so I'm considering getting the Campfire Audio Andromedas, but I'm worried that I'll end up spending nearly 3x as much money for something that doesn't sound as good. An alternative is to get something cheaper like the Campfire Audio Orion, or the FL8Cs, and instead either keep the iSine's (for when I'm listening in my living room), or sell them at least knowing I didn't spend more than what the iSine's cost.
I'd love to hear what you guys think!
