So I have just decided to switch from headphones to IEMs because headphones have been matting down my hair and the hair in that area has felt odd (so I don't want to lose my hair). I am an avid gamer that plays long sessions at a time on my desktop at home. I am looking for a set of IEMs that would best suit the type of music I enjoy. The two major types of music I enjoy are house/electro music, and alternative rock music. 
 
Brands I have currently been looking at and am interested in are:
 
- Westone
- Sennheiser (love their headphones, but their bass seemed lacking)
- Shure
 
If you have any suggestions please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.
 
As a side note, is using a 3.5 mm jack extension cable on IEMs okay to do so they have a comfortable reach from my desktop to head? (I'm fairly tall)
