Switch problem.

I have this switch.

How do I get the neon light to come on when I flip the switch. The switch itself has a brass colored third connection that's not shown in the data sheet. I'm stumped!

OK, maybe I've answered my own question. I think I need to connect the line voltage to the center, #2 connection, then run a wire from the #3 connection to ground. Does that sound right?

doesnt really matter which way you set up the + or - and usually you don't need the 3rd lead but that might do the trick, could just be a bad switch.

It looks like the light should function when connection 2 and 3 get power. I would guess that the brass third connection might actually be connector 1 in the diagram. Hard to tell!

Line in (hot) to #2, #1 continues on, and #3 connects to neutral to complete the circuit for the light. Guess I just had to think it through. Thanks to all who chimed in. Hope it helps someone else in the future.

Had the same problem two weeks or so ago.
Figured it out in the end, but got one nice electric shock in the way(220V here)
