swans m200?

Anyone knows where to get the m200 besides egghead? i've been wanting these for a couple weeks but cannot find them anywhere on the internet

are they being discontinued?

what other powered speakers are just as good? or better? i will be using with my laptop and sonica

Newegg you mean? I don't think there is any other official retailer anymore, nor do I think they'd be discontinued. There's a few in Korea... a few in China (obviously), but for those of you in the states that don't already have a pair, you're going to be waiting for more to come in stock at Newegg

I think the Swan T200A sounds more detailed, but the bass is lacking, and the imaging is "different". Swan M200 gets kind of blurred with a lot of classical music - the T200A doesn't suffer this behavior. However, T200A doesn't sound as full with a bass guitar. It's all about music preference I guess.

I don't have any other ideas really, any other powered speakers are going to be spendy (unless you go with a pair of normal multimedia speakers - which something tells me, you wouldn't be satisfied with)

a few weeks ago they still have the m200 on the site saying estimated ship date to be 9/30

but now there is nothing about the m200

The Swans speakers actually have a forum at www.theaudioinsider.com
I think the admin of the board himself is Swans' own people, so it'll be the best place to check availability. (sometimes they have special deals in the "hot deals" page too, I think there was a T200a a while ago)
