The questions:
a) What are the last 10 CD/LPs you have bought* and over what period did you buy them?
b) Which of these have become favorites?

* ie CD/LPs that you actually chose to spent your hard earned cash or other credits on (as opposed to other means of music procurement).

A thousand apologies to LP lovers the world over - I though you were extinct.
I have now edited the original post to include LP lovers too ... as well as us stinkin CD aficionados.

They ain't dead, but they're coughin' up blood. I prefer my snap, crackle and pops at breakfast, not when I'm listening to music.

P.S. I'm buyin' lots of reggae lately, Jimmy Cliff, Toots and the Maytals, Marley, etc.

Over the last two months:

- The Fragile (Nine Inch Nails)
- A-Sides (Soundgarden)
- Moanin' (Art Blakley)
- Mingus Ah Um (Charles Mingus)
- Fungus Amongus (Incubus)
- Scenes From A Memory (Dream Theater)
- Parachutes (Coldplay)
- Aenima (Tool)
- Crash (Dave Matthews Band)

The best four are Aenima, Mingus Ah Um, The Fragile, and Parachutes.

They tie as far as I'm concerned......all superb.....

for me also Nolan & Wakeman - The Hound Of the Baskervilles, and definately a favourite even surpassing Jabberwocky (and thats saying something!)

other purchases since late January:

Dream Theater - Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence (another favourite, up there with Scenes From a Memory and Images & Words and Awake
cool.gif
DT kicks butt)

The Lord Of the Rings Soundtrack (wow, definately a favourite!)

Camel - Nude (these guys are great! thanks to whoever recommmended them!)

Michelle Young - Marked For Madness (very odd album, loads of atmosphere)

Diana Krall - Only Trust Your Heart (love that voice!)

Thelonious Monk - Straight No Chaser (I'm still catching up on the old must haves, and this is very good stuff)

there's a lot of absolutely fantastic stuff coming up next month that all you non-proggers are gonna miss out on, but hey, not my problem

think Arena, think Pendragon, Ayreon even. I might also be (99% sure, but finances might fail) picking up Pain Of Salvation - The Perfect Element part 1, and something by Treshold, probably their latest (forgot the name, the one with the floating rock-with-city on the cover).
