I saw a review recently about some Surround Sound Headphones from Sony and Pioneer that was very favorable. I just got a HD TV and was thinking about getting Surround Sound and these headphones seem like a good idea. (Play it loud without bothering the family or the neighbors).

Anyone know anything about these or any other Surround Sound Headphones?

From what I hear these kinds of headphones are usually pitiful for music listening, but I don't know how they perform with DVD's. They're probably pretty good, actually.

There were a number of thread for wireless surround headphones before but this is the only one I could find now.
Basically they perform pretty good and pleasant for DVD watching, especially Pioneer's ones are using dolby headphone system. (SE-DIR1000C, SE-DIR800C) I hardly use my 1000C for music listening because it's hooked to DVD player, but not bad at all for music too.
Sony's DS8000 is the only competitive model, though it's using Sony's own surround simulation system.
Also AudioTechnica has one, apparently it's got Pioneer's transmitter and AT's phone.
