I would like some help buying a surge protector for my coming Little Dot MKIII and Magnavox CD player (from the stoneage). I know absolutely nothing, so any help would be appreciated.

I'm just looking for one in the 30-40 USD range.
I did find this thread, http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showth...urge+Protector but I couldn't really find anything in my range (the guy has a set up that costs way more than mine does).

Thanks,
Tridacnid

Forgot to mention that I have an APC battery backup that I have been using for whatever random plug-ins that I have. It is kind of old, and I don't know if it past its useful life. Is there a way for me to tell?

Thanks

that'll work...but something like this would be better (but out of your budget)

By the way, a good Panamax can be found new on ebay for about $200...but without a warranty.

The Panamax powerstrip you posted should do fine for you and is definitely better than a wal-mart special.

I know what you mean Prozakk, but reading through a billion reviews just isn't worth it for me. All I want is something to make sure my LD MK III doesn't get burnt.

I will delay my order for another day to read as many of those reviews as I can take.

Thanks,
Tri

Good luck.

IMO Panamax is ok, but just only ok. When I researched I ended up buying Tripplite. I wanted Monster's signature surge protector and voltage regulator, but the price was just toooooooooooo high.

I bought this for $120 with shipping a couple years ago:

And I use this for my sub (since far away from my components):

If I remember right it, was in your budget.
