Hello, all.

I just purchased the SuperLux 668B's. I read some pretty good reviews, and for the price figured I'd give them a shot. I already had a AT ATR2500 USB MIC, and I needed a headphone to go with it for my XBOX 1

The negative reviews I read were saying that the stock earpads were not very comfortable, so I was wanting to see what people recommend that I get?

Also, with these headphones will I need a DAC/AMP to power these? If so, what do you recommend?

Thanks!

For use with a gaming console, Astro Mix-amp.

  Thanks for the response, PurpleAngel.

It looks like that device is $130. Is there anything cheaper I can get?

A used Astro mix-amp.

Or even cheaper, a used Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS ($20?).

  One more question,

Do you think it's necessary to have a headphone amp in this topology?

For driving the 60-Ohm 668B, not really.

I tried the Cosmos earpads that Amazon sells, and I find that my ears sweat & not so comfortable. My ear lobes start to hurt after about 30 minutes.

Is there any other ear pads I can try?

Thanks!
