The V6.2C is a fantastic amp. I sold my portable transit because of it. I just a/b the C-D version and although the V6.2C is a great amp the version 6.2D is much better. XIN put 2 resister in the new version and made my gain to 20. I felt that because of the two resisters that I would need more gain. The D is stronger, fuller, clearer than the C. I think that because of the two resisters that I use a little more volume and I think that is what makes the D sound fuller stronger and clearer. I really don't know about that though. And who knows what else XIN did to the D version. All I do know is that I am on the way to the post office to send back the V6.2C and keep The V6.2D. Out of the box the C and D sounded great. Not like the old days when they needed a good burn in . Of course I still am burning in the V6.2D but it sounds great with out it. This is one great amp and might get even better with a burn in and if it don't thats OK because It sounds great right now. I can only say that this small mini amp sounds like a big meta42 and is way easer to use and carry around. Its just the genius of XIN that a lot of members are missing out on because they think a much bigger amp might sound better.

Thanks Lou!!! Nice comparison.
Yup, the size of the SM's are totally mouth watering.

Not including the size factor, hope somebody with a max'd Meta42 could compare the 6.2D soon and get over this burning curiosity.

And more praises to Xin for his updates. If he stopped doing his updates, we're stuck with the older ones. People, no Xin rant on this thread, please.

Xin, keep up the excellence!!!

HI: How are you? Thank you for moving the post. I am really having fun with the V6.2D and seem to be listing to my portable rig and not my main rig. LOL. Its just fun having all the stuff in my T shirt pocket.

HI: I thought about that but it don't seem to be afected. I am on almost 24 hour burn in and batt still going strong. Use to be on burn in the batt would only last about 10 hours at first burn in then got way better.I noticed that after burn in you just forget about the batt.

HI: This amp is so good that it just might replace a lot of your other amps and you could consider selling a few of them. Especially the bigger portable ones.LOL

HI: I take everything into account about any amp not just pure sound. They all sound good but when I factor in the other factors then I make a decision. I have only heard one bad amp so far and that amp was just configured badly in my opinion and not due to the amp maker but what the buyer wanted. But if you want me to say yeah the V6.2D sounds better than amp X then I will say yeah or why would I sell it the same day? Please keep in mind what earphones or headphones that I use also. I think the E2 are only 16 ohms and my SR-225 are only 32 ohms so they are very easy to drive even without an amp. So for me the super mini V6.2D is the very best portable amp that I can buy taking into account the headphones or earphones. Size and batt. life. Now rather than take my word on this why not wait till other members get the V6.2D and see what they say about this great amp that cost very little to boot. On the pure sound thing I have not used my main rig since I received the V6.2D and I think my main rig sounds better than my portable rig but my portable rig is so much fun to use and take around the house and back yard that I just have been using my portable rig all the time. The sound is that good that I don't feel the need to hear better sound that I think I also have in my main rig. For me once I get to a certain level of great sound then I can stop there and just listen and enjoy. Please let other members post on the V6.2D when they get it so I wont feel like I am missleading any members.
