is the bass really too boomy and muddy? i really like the ecost deal? are they as clear as the super.fi 3's? one more question do they distort a lot?

I jumped on the ecost deal, but I missed the package when it came to the door this morning =( I'll let you know what the verdict is in the next couple days when I get the chance to pick it up. Extremely exaggerated bass was one of my concerns too, and I won't be able to compare the SQ to anything you have though. I am a basshead though, so take my opinions with a grain of salt when I get ahold of my EBs.

On another note, they've got really poor customer service. I guess living in Canada is partly to blame, but I pretty much didn't know when my package was coming until it was at the door. When you try to e-mail customer service, it takes a week to get a response back... irritating, to say the least...

I would prefer the SF 3's at the current Amazon price as they are more neutral.

my brother has this IEM. i feel that the bass is just right out of his unamped Creative MP3 player. slightly boomy but not bad at all. the midrange can be clearer, though.
