To give an idea of the sound I'm after, DT770 paired with a GoVibe or Hornet. I like the bass slam and bright sound. I recently sold that set-up, lol.

So I'm after that, I guess you can say I'm a basshead. I listen to alot of bass heavy music, like club, reggae, hip-hop and some turntablism. I want bass SLAM, but I don't want everything else too drowned out. Think dance club. The bass is INSANE, but you can still hear everything else clearly.

So am I after the Pro or EB? The sources will be a Shuffle (which is pretty neutral and clean to begin with, so I'm thinkin good mate with the EBs) and a Laptop>Indigo DJ.

I hear people say the EB is muddy, but do the Pros have enough bass for me? I do love the sound of the DT770s...bass slam, and bright sound signature...but I need something more portable.

A friend of mine had the DT770 and the super.fi 5 pro and I bet that he wouldn't want to trade the super.fi 5 pro's for the EB.

He listens to bass-heavy music too. I believe hè does even turn the bass up on his mp3-player... I'm always afraid his head will be blown off when I see him listening to them....

I never listened to the EB, and I didn't listen much to the pro's either, but I think the pro's would make a better choice since you still want the brightness...

super.fi 5ebs aren't worth it, IMO. i bought them because i heard all the rave about the bass being like subwoofers, which is very impressive for IEMs for sure... but it turned out that the bass was very muddy and boomy, virtually masking all the other frequencies and making them sound very congested.

from what i've read, the sf5pros should be adequate as far as bass in IEMs goes. you won't feel it the way you do wearing full sized cans, but it still has its presence

So even with a really neutral source, the EBs are still muffled?

Man, I wish I could give them both a try...

So dare I say, how are both the pro and EB to the Bose IE????

I was reading a post where you can up the EQ to almost night club bass level and they don't distort...that's exactly what I'm looking for. I like to have ENERGY in my music, as these will probably replace my KSC75's for biking....
