super.fi 5 ...durable enough?

I want to buy my friend a very good pair of earphones, but knowing him I am fairly confident he will not take good care of them. How well do super.fi 5s stand up to a beating? Can you wrap the earphones + cord around the mp3 player and just pop it in your pocket without them breaking soon? Or do you need to carry the carrying case separately at all times?

I never carry the case. They seem pretty solid to me.

I have them and I would say they are durable plus they come with a 2yr warranty and the cord is replaceable. Cant go wrong if your looking for great sound and durability

Yeah, I always throw em in my bag etc, they are beauties!

Yes. I have mine for two years now. Replaced cable once and even repainted it black.
