Well, honestly, I wouldn't purchase the Super.Fi 3. The Super.Fi 5 pro I own and are awesome, but I didn't care at all for the Super.Fi 3. There might be some better ones in that price range that others could recommend to you, like I hear that FutureSonics XtremeMac one is a pretty good buy and sounds good. When it comes to a single driver, I prefer it to be a diaphragm or dynamic driver like Shure has than a single armature. I also own the Shure e2c and while they aren't at all my favorite, I think they are more well rounded than the Super.Fi 3. A lot of reviews on the websites, I think even ipodlounge.com didn't care for the Super.fi 3.

But Apple doesn't charge more for that one, do they? And if they do, then they could care less about the charity, since the extra money would be coming out of our pockets, not theirs....
Steve Jobs has always been a greedy S.O.B.
And as much as I hate Microsoft products and how they inflate the size of their software by up to 2600% [MS word for example], Bill Gates has the world biggest Philanthropy. The reason though for the size increase of files is so that you have to spend more money on hardware which with most people, the lamen, equates to buying a new computer instead of just a new hard drive, and that helps Intel -- all part of the grand Microsoft/Intel Co-Op, which Apple is doing now too with Intel. I support AMD. Down with Intel!!!
I can't say down with Apple as much as I would like too, because I rely on their computers to earn a living.

It seems that most of you people don't know why there are red items recently.

Yes, I do. I made a post about it last night that was immediately deleted. After I realized it was in bad taste, I tried to go back and edit it out, but the mods got to it literally within like 5 seconds of the post. I shouldn't have made a post like I did though, so for anyone who saw it, I apologize.

However:
I'll just say this -- I don't believe in the charity because of how the money being raised is being spent.
I think more beneficial things could be done with the money like proper sex education [especially in thirld world countries that have trouble feeding their children but have more children], for one. If that's what the charity was going towards, I would back it, but I don't believe that's the case.

Again, my apologies for last nights post.

Not that I can think of, but they weren't giving away any prizes or kudos for renaming their lower end IEMs.

And as far as I'm concerned, since they consider the Triple.Fi to be part of the Super.fi line of products, they should have called it the Super.fi 7 pro.
It's the natural progression of things.

They have the Super.fi 3, the Super.fi 5, and then should be the Super.fi 7.

It's not quite on par with the UE-10 custom, even though it's a triple driver and has the same basic sound signature. A universal fit is a universal fit is a universal fit, which is what their Super.fi Line of products is.

I agreed with most people that the Triple.fi 10 pro name was a pretty poor choice, but I can't wait for them to arrive via FedEx at the end of October.

Still, I submitted this name for the triple fi naming contest, and then now it appears on a different product. I dunno.... think I have a case?

What that UE used this name without your permission?

I'm pretty sure the rules were that any submitted names become the property of UE upon submission. So no, no case. Unless of course you hold a piece of legal paperwork that says that product name belongs to you.....
