Another Head-Fier pointed out that the promotional price for the Super Dual has been removed. Anybody care to predict what it will be selling for now?

My guess is $199 to compete with the Total Airhead and Porta Corda.

I was tempted to do the same when it was released but was waiting to hear how much of an improvement it was over Xin's other offerings. I already have the super mini and already fell into the "trap" of feeling I had to upgrade every time he came out with a new version or product.

I have just a tad of regret right now.

I'm usually not impulsive but when there's a good deal, I'm over it. Indecision in these cases could make you feel bad.... Of course one remedy is to quickly buy something NICE to make you forget.

It's crazy trying to chase the latest version of such and such. Just skip a few generations, get something else and enjoy for a while.

OK, I'm over it now.

Actually, I'm very happy with my super mini for those times when I want an unobtrusive portable amp or a laptop setup.

And of course, the Meathead never fails to bring a smile to my face.

I agree as well. From the emails that I traded with the Xin's team, it appears those of us who have the "older" models (pre-update) will be able to send them in for an upgrade.

I am glad that I was able to get in before the price change!

Jester is an example of indecision gone haywire haha. Just buy all the options

That method works also.

Why did you get 2 super duals though?

Ha! I am on a quest for the ultimate in portable sound.

Traveling 3-4 days a week on an airplane gets really old with bad music. The 2nd SD was for my wife who did not like it (go figure

). She likes the simplicity of just carrying her iPod. So it was recently sold to another Head-Fi member.

As for the SR-71 - that dude is a KEEPER. I expect that I will be keeping the SD as well because of it's size.

Yes but the strange thing is there is just no price at all. You just can't order it and even stranger you can't even order the acessories anymore.

It appears that they are doing the upgrades that have been mentioned before. Curious to see how they are going to handle what has already been sold.

You know I am not unhappy with the sound as it stands today from the SD. Now it is not like my SR-71, but for the price paid and the quaility of sound that I am getting I could not be happier with it.

So it could actually be that the promotion is not over. Maybe Xin just doesn't want to sell any more amps until the quality control issues are worked out.
