Then go to Sunspot, New Mexico. Seriously, that's the name of the place. There's a solar observatory there. It is at the end of one of the best stretches of pavement in the US. It's a blast on a good motorcycle. It is also about 9000 feet above sea level, if not higher.

Thanks for the link Disturbed!! Although I doubt anyone other than government funded operations ccan afford a lens like the one that took that photo!!!! Man, that thing must've cost as much as the annual budget of some third world countries. WOW!!!

Budgie: I agree. This would make some awesome wallpaper.

Anyway, I first went out to the west this previous summer. Saw nevada, arizona, new mexico, and utah. The views I got of stars were simply stunning.
