What are some good cans for all types of rock/metal through a Sansa Clip/Cowon D2 that does not require the use of an amp? I do not have the money for an amp. I am trying to get an idea for what kind of can's I want. And if they could be used with my guitar amp without being ruined that would be great too. Any help is appreciated and thanked in advance.

Try Grado's low and mid range: SR60, 80, 125, 225, 325 and 325i etc.

This is an electrostatic system with a one hellva amp man thats 3-4x the size of the headphone itself... not to mention its $15K!!!

Thus it cannot be used unamped.

yeah, but its a all-in-one package, no need to order an amp from someone else. Also, OP said no price range, and sound good.

OP says "does not require the use of an amp" even if it is an all-in-one package. it still use an amp :p
