I currently use a headroom little-sony dvp s550 setup and would like to purchase a new amp (preferably tube type) for my new sony ns550v(thanks tuberoller) I use senn hd600 phones with a teds excellent cable extension, any suggestions for a tube type amp in the 250-350$ range. thanks in advance because I know i'll get good advice here!!!

There is but one answer: The MG Head OTL.

After three Head-Fi meets, multiple tube rolling sessions, and countless A/B tests... this amp still proves to be a monster of performance for the money. It has set a standard that has yet to be equalled for high impedance headphones.

Sennheiser owners never had it so good. Ye shall be pleased.

DT is the earlier model. OTL is the newer one.

For only $$$? You mean the price? Headroom has it for $329.

Best synergy? You mean with the HD-600? Yes, the MG Head OTL has ideal synergy with HD-600's. It is the best affordable tube amp for them.
