HI everyone, I'm looking for a pair of new headphone and my budget is below $1k USD. I personally like clear mid and highs , not much of a bass friend.
 
Here's my setup:
S/PDIF  output -> Schiit DAC -> Schiit Asgard 2 headphone amp

In order of preference:
 
1. Beyerdynamic T90 - detail monster! Easy to drive, however, notably improves with better source/amping. Great for all but the most bass-heavy genres.
 
2. Hifiman HE500 - excellent cross between fun and analytical. Very capable ortho that doesn't require gobs of power. Sounds good with everything I threw at it.
 
3. Grado RS1i - lovely natural sound that's also easy to drive, but scales well. Little less detailed than the T90 but more fun esp. with rock-based genres.
