Suggestions for a headband pad for the akg 701's

I just got a pair of 701's on thursday and I've noticed that the headband starts to hurt after a few hours of listening. Does anyone have suggestions for how I could a foam to the underside or do something to avoid discomfort?

definitely not. i also have that problem. i noticed what helped a bit was once i had the cans in a comfortable position, i'd then rotate the leather headband so that it rested flat on my head.

use bandana to wrap around the headband...

Buy an HD650

. Seriously though I don't think you'll be able to do much unless you're willing to glue something foreign on to the headband.

Could you post a picture of the top of your head when you have the phones on? Just something which shows the separation between the top loop band and the leather band.

Are you bald, because these are some real comfy cans. If you find the K701's uncomfortable, then don't even try a Grado!

You can always wrap something thin around the leather pad though, just be creative!
