Hi. I'm new to this site, and hopefully I can elicit come constructive comments. My present set-up is a fine Marantz CD player, Sennheiser 650's powered by an Earmax original. What I want to know is, are there any experienced users out there that have used an Earmax and upgraded, and if so to what? And why? Also, the Lehmann Audio amp looks very nice, but how does it sound compare to the Earmax? Any help would be deeply appreciated.

John Brazier from the Positive Feedback switched from his long-time reference, the Earmax, to a Consonance Cyber 20 after he reviewed it. (the link below opens the article).

Positive Feedback Review

I had contemplated on getting a Earmax pro for a long time, but had purchased the Cyber 20 based on his review, and I am very happy with it. You can also review my review in the review section:

Cyber 20

Currently, my Cyber 20 has a busted capacitor/resistor. I haven't got it fixed yet. I have been playing with another amp, the Rudistor RP5.1cav. I am trying it out with various NOS tubes to try to dial the amp in. So far, I've tried 5 different sets of tubes. Although, I can say that the Rudistor has a more refined sound, but the Cyber 20 presented a more 3 dimensional sound, and has more textures (micro-details). Maybe it just mates with the HD650 better. (I got to get the Cyber 20 fixed, so I can do a side-by-side comparision).
